Nike recovery hypertight review

NIKE PRO COMBAT RECOVERY HYPERTIGHT REVIEW

Got these recovery compression tights about 2 weeks ago and now I have enough info for a review.
Bought these straight from nike as they were the only place available at the time (feb 2014)
retail - $140.00

Nice zip up hard case
first off they came in this sweet zip up hard case with room enough to store them inside and are secured inside with a bungee. the case is also vented to let the stink out after wearing them during/after a hard work out.
SPIDERMAN, SPIDERMAN
Nike recommends that you get these in a tighter size than you would normally get. me being 185 pounds and 69 inches tall, i got a Medium. now i also have another pair of regular nike pro combat compression tights that i wear in a large. (nike also has a weight and height chart on their site to help)

The difference between the hypertights and the standard tights is the amount of compression throughout the length of the tights. the hyper tights start at a noticeably tighter feel around the ankle and calf, and then fade into a looser feel as the make their way past the knee and then to a standard feel around the upper thigh and hip. the feel a the top is that of standard compression shorts/tights. as you can hopefully see in the pic above the squares are tighter and more frequent at the ankle of the tights then fading in to larger more dispursed squares at the thigh and hip.

the square lines that you see are made of an elastic material, keeping the tights in place and adding compression. the space in-between the squares is a standard tight material allowing for ventilation, again more ventilation at the top then there is at the bottom.
HEEL/FOOT LOOP
I also like the heel/foot loop on the bottom of the tights. seen above don't judge me for dirty laundry on floor
It keeps the tights right where you want them,  a complaint i have with the standard tights is that they are very loose around the ankle and don't stay inplace.

overall opinion
the nike recovery hypertights are not your standard compression gear. when wearing them after a workout they feel great. when i take them off before going to bed i feel that my legs are missing a comfortable feeling they just had.
now i have not hit any squats lately, which i think will put these to the real test, but after the met-con workouts i have been doing to prepare for the open they do the trick.
priced at $140 they are in line with other companies recovery tights. if you are considering recovery tights i think the nike's are worth taking a serious look at.
